Mandela: Love and gratitude for Cuba
"The Cuban people occupy a special place in the hearts of the peoples of Africa," said Nelson Mandela, the anti-apartheid fighter and architect of reconciliation in South Africa, during his visit to our country in 1991.
For Cuba, it was a great honor to be among the first nations to be visited by the man who three years later would become the first Black president of South Africa, and who described the Cuban Revolution as a source of inspiration for all peace-loving peoples.
A Code consistent with the development of the family
In the twenty-fifth, and latest, draft version of the Family Code, 47.93% of the content was modified, including the transitory and final provisions; and new elements were incorporated, representing 2.06%, reported the Minister of Justice Oscar Silvera Martinez.
In a videoconference of the Drafting Commission of the Family Code with the deputies of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP), the Minister highlighted the real impact the opinion of the people had in this consultation process, which he described as "transparent and effective".

Victoria, 6 July._The Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles Martha Hernández Caneiro visited on Wednesday the National Assembly of Seychelles, where she held a cordial meeting with the Hon. Sebastien Pillay.
It was a positive exchange in which aspects of the reality of our two countries were addressed and the historic ties of friendship that unite us were ratified.
Also participated on the Cuban side the Minister Counselor of the Embassy, Tomás Méndez Parra.
