South African Artist expresses Support for Cuba through Music
Cuba and South Africa celebrate cooperation in the field of ballet and the 25th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations
Pretoria, 4 July, 2019.- The Embassy of Cuba and the Director of the International Ballet Competition of South Africa, Dirk Badenhorst celebrated a Cultural Gala with the performance of young South African and Cuban Ballet dancers at the Lyric Theatre of Johannesburg.
The show was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Cuba and South Africa cooperation, particularly in Ballet, and the 25th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations.

Presiding over the meeting were ACRSA Chairwoman Cristina Flores Fourie, the Ambassador of Cuba Rodolfo Benítez Verson; and the Secretary of Consular Affairs Liliam Tápanes Bellas.

Pretoria, 28 June, 2019.- The Ambassador of Cuba, Rodolfo Benítez Verson held a meeting with the filial of FOCUS (Friends of Cuba Society in South Africa) of Cape Town led by the renowned anti-apartheid fighter, Father Michael Lapsly and Fatima Swartz in the South African city. The meeting was also attended by leading members of the Congress of South Africa Trade Union (COSATU) of Western Cape Province and the Ambassador of Venezuela, Mairín Moreno.
