Cuban Vice-president Inés Chapman meets with former President of South Africa Thabo Mbeki
Pretoria, September 13, 2019.- Vice-president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba Inés María Chapman Waugh, in her trip to Zimbabwe at the head of the Cuban delegation to the funeral of Robert Mugabe, exchanged salutations with South Africa’s former President Thabo Mbeki.
Thabo Mbeki, who held the South African presidency from 1999 to 2008, also traveled to Zimbabwe to take part in the funerals of former President Mugabe.

Pretoria, September 11, 2019.- The Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in South Africa, Dianelis Forestal Mejías, made a presentation on Cuba at the University of Pretoria.
The diplomat presented the main achievements of the Revolution in the social and economic sphere; the US blockade policy against Cuba and its dire consequences for the Cuban people; relevant elements about the culture and history of Cuba, the tourist options of the Island, among other topics of interest.

Pretoria, 5 September 2019.- Deputy Minister First of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González, and Alvin Botes, South African Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, held this Thursday morning the XV Inter-Chancery Political Consultation between both countries, on the occasion of the visit of the Cuban vice-minister to the African continent.
