Lesotho’s Association of Graduates in Cuba Holds Welcoming Reception to Newly Graduates in the Island and Cuba’s New Medical Brigade Members
Pretoria, 5 October, 2019.- Members of Lesotho’s Association of Graduates in Cuba hosted a warm welcoming reception in Maseru, capital of the Kingdom of Lesotho in honor of the students of the Kingdom who finished their studies in Cuba in the recently concluded school year.
The Cuban cooperators in the country, including eleven newcomer medical brigade members, took part in the reception. These physicians arrived recently in Lesotho as part of the implementation of the New Cooperation Agreement in the field of Health, signed by the two countries last June 6.

At the meeting, the Cuban diplomat thanked the Association for the activities carried out in support of the Cuban Revolution and for its recent Declaration of condemnation of the blockade.
King of Eswatini, Mswati II, concluded fruitful visit to Cuba from
Pretoria, 2nd October, 2019.- The African president's agenda included a meeting with the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez; a tour of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) and the Historic Center of Old Havana and the “Casa de África” museum, to which he donated a typical piece of Swazi culture.
Book on anti-apartheid fighters recognizes the role of Cuba
Pretoria, 1st Octubre.- Representatives of the Embassy of Cuba participated in the launch of the book "Voices from the Underground", the latest historical publication on the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa.
The book collects testimonies of 18 fighters belonging to a detachment that was part of the armed arm of the African National Congress in the city of Cape Town, as well as experiences of their actions from the underground in the fight against Apartheid.

Pretoria, 1st October.- The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, received the king of Eswatini, Mswati III, in the Palace of the Revolution, with whom he held official conversations. At the meeting, both parties ratified the good state of bilateral relations, based on ties of friendship and collaboration, and expressed the will to strengthen cooperation for mutual benefit. They also exchanged on topics of interest of international events.
