Cuba and South Africa hold Inter-Chancery Political Consultation
Pretoria, September 5th, 2019.- The XV Cuba - South Africa annual Joint Consultative Mechanism is currently taking place in the South African Department of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. The delegations of both parties are chaired by the first vice minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González and the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of South Africa Alvin Botes.

Pretoria, 5 September 2019.- Deputy Minister First of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González, and Alvin Botes, South African Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, held this Thursday morning the XV Inter-Chancery Political Consultation between both countries, on the occasion of the visit of the Cuban vice-minister to the African continent.

Pretoria, 5th September, 2009.- Cuban delegation visiting South Africa, chaired by the first Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González, paid tribute to Nelson Mandela, after concluding the 15th session of the Joint Consultative Mechanism between South Africa and Cuba.
South Africa and Cuba have a very special relationship both at the political and social levels, which is an evidence of the excellent bilateral links and friendship existing between Fidel and Mandela.
