Cuba and Lesotho begin cooperation in the field of Sports and Physical Culture
Pretoria, May 11, 2019.-The Cuban professors Ricardo Pardo Hernández and Luis Arias Rodríguez, PhD students in Pedagogical Sciences and Physical Culture Sciences, respectively, arrived in the Kingdom of Lesotho to provide their services in the creation and opening of a Faculty of Sports and Physical Culture at the National University of Lesotho, the largest high school house in that African kingdom.
Despite the Helms Burton Act, Cuba grows and will continue to grow
Petroria, May 8, 2019.- Despite the declared intention of the government of the United States to economically suffocate Cuba and only days of the full activation of Title III of the Helms Burton Act, which is what codifies the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade against the Cuban people; there have been events that demonstrate the firm international rejection of these measures. Important partners of the Island have expressed their willingness to continue and strengthen relations with Cuba.
The Lenin Prize is awarded to Raúl Castro Ruz
Pretoria, May 2, 2019.-After the massive parade of workers in the Revolution Square "José Martí", in Havana, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and General Army Raúl Castro Ruz, received the Lenin Prize awarded by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, "for its exceptional contribution to the construction of socialism and its work to consolidate the principles of justice, humanism and social progress."
