With the energy of Moncada, to leave scarcities behind and head for well-being

Cuban revolutionaries today invoke the perseverance of those young men who in July 1953, led by the lawyer Fidel Castro, assaulted two of the main military fortresses, to unleash the struggle against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. The actions did not culminate in military success, but after the bloody repression, the young people of the generation of the centenary of the birth of José Martí regrouped forces and outlined objectives.

Unveiled in South Africa the first bust of José Martí

Pretoria, July 22, 2022.- As part of the activities commemorating the assault on the Moncada barracks on July 26, a bust of the Cuban National Hero José Martí was unveiled today at the Embassy of Cuba in South Africa.

Pretoria, July 1st, 2022.- Like all countries, Cuba is going through a difficult economic situation influenced by the global crisis, the prices of fuel, food and transportation, in addition to the effects of more than 2 years of pandemic. The attempts to establish opinion in the media that Cuba is facing a massive humanitarian crisis are unfound. Falsehoods, fictitious legends and their propagation in the media are used to internationally generate the image of a country socially unstable and in political crisis.
