Authorities of the Stockholm Environment Institute exchange with the Ambassador of Cuba in Sweden
Stockholm, Sweden - February 24, 2022-. As part of the exchanges aimed at strengthening bilateral relations of mutual interest, the Cuban Ambassador to Sweden, Alba Soto, held a working meeting with authorities from the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI). Ms. Marie Jürisoo, Director of Operations, Dr. Karina Barquet, Principal Investigator, and Dr. Sarah Dickin, Leader of the sanitation and health team of the aforementioned institution, were present.
The Electoral Commission of the Embassy of Cuba in Sweden was constituted in an official ceremony.
Stockholm, January 24- In the afternoon of Monday, January 24, the solemn act by which the Electoral Commission, which will manage the the consultation process and Popular Referendum of the New Family Code. After singing the notes of the glorious national anthem, and the introductory words pronounced by the Ambassador of Cuba in the country, Alba Soto Pimentel, the ceremony began. The elected President of the Commission, Yohanna Cordero LLanuch, read the oath that establishes the bases and ethical and legal precepts that govern the work of the Commission.
Ambassador of Cuba visits Swedish Institute in Stockholm
As part of the exchanges with Swedish institutions, the Cuban Ambassador to Sweden, Alba Soto Pimentel, paid a courtesy visit to the Swedish Institute.
In the meeting held with Kurt Bratteby, head of International Relations and Monika Wirkkala, head of the Institute's Communication Department, she was informed about the work of this institution.
The diplomat presented updated information on the work of Cuban institutions and the possible points of confluence to develop relations.
Ambassador of Cuba presents Letters of Credence to His Majesty, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden
On Thursday, October 7, the Ambassador of Cuba to the Kingdom of Sweden, Alba Beatríz Soto Pimentel, presented her credentials to His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf.
The solemn audience took place in the Royal Palace, in which His Majesty welcomed the Ambassador and they held a brief exchange on topics of mutual interest.

The celebration of the Annual Conference of the Swedish-Cuban Friendship Association (AASC) on October 9 and 10, was an excellent occasion to hold a useful exchange and reflection of the Ambassador of Cuba, Alba Soto, with the members of the National Board and the Organization's Branches, on various aspects of the Cuban reality.
