Prime Minister of Thailand ratifies solidarity with Cuba for the effects of Hurricane Irma
BANGKOK, February 1, 2018. - The Prime Minister of Thailand, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, reiterated the solidarity of the Asian nation with Cuba for the severe damages caused by Hurricane Irma in September 2017.
Gladys Bejerano Portela received the Credentials of the new ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Cuba
The Vice President of the Council of State, Gladys Bejerano Portela, accompanied by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marcelino Medina González, received this Thursday in a solemn audience the H.E. Mrs. Rommanee Kananurak, new ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand. The diplomat presented the Credentials that accredit her as Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the head of mission laid a wreath before the Monument to José Martí, in the Plaza de la Revolución.

Bruno Rodríguez will participate in the Meeting of Chancellors of CELAC
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla will head the Cuban delegation that will participate in the CELAC Foreign Ministers' Meeting and the Second Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the CELAC-China Forum, which will take place on January 21 and 22 in Santiago de Chile, Chile.
The occasion will be propitious to consolidate the unity of Latin America and the Caribbean, strengthen the work of CELAC and its actions as a recognized interlocutor of the region with diverse extra-regional partners and in multiple multilateral scenarios.

Secretary General of the Commission of Higher Education of Thailand welcomes the Ambassador of Cuba
BANGKOK, January 15, 2018. - The Secretary General of the Commission of Higher Education of Thailand, Dr. Suphat Champatong, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Hector Conde Almeida.
In the cordial meeting the good path of the bilateral relations was confirmed and the mutual will to continue strengthening them was reiterated, with special mention to the historical significance of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between both countries to be commemorated on May 15, 2018.
