Cuba’s Deputy Foreign Minister expressed the country’s condemnation of the April 6 U.S. missile strike on Syria

I express our strongest condemnation of the United States’ unilateral cruise missile attack on April 6, launched against the Shayrat air base, in the Homs province of the Syrian Arab Republic, using as a pretext the alleged use of chemical weapons against civilians by the Syrian government.

Cuban FM calls for unity against threats to the region

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez called for unity and solidarity in the face of the rapid development of recent events in the region and threats to peace in Latin America and the Caribbean.

At the inauguration of the XV Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Treaty of Peoples' Trade (ALBA-TCP), which began in the Cubanacan protocol hall of this capital, Rodriguez stressed the urgency of addressing what is happening in the area, particularly the recent bullying actions against Venezuela.

Cruises to Cuba on the rise

New arrivals of US cruise companies Pearl Seas, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruises took place during the first quarter of 2017 to Havana, which is in line with the projections of the development of such attractive activity in Cuba.
 
Today the US Norweigan Cruise announced it will add 33 round trip sailings to Cuba from Miami in 2018.
 
The newly announced cruises begin on March 26, 2018 and are in addition to the 30 cruises that Norwegian is running to Cuba in 2017.
 

Cuban ambassador to Thailand receives Cuban boxing team

Cuban Ambassador to Thailand, Hector Conde Almeida, welcomed the Cuban boxing team that will compete in the 2017 International Boxing Tournament to be held in Bangkok from 4 to 8 April. In addition to Cuba, the following 16 nations with a long tradition in this sport will participate in the event: Australia, Qatar, China, South Korea, the Philippines, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. The Cuban team is made up of 7 athletes and two coaches.

Ambassadors from the Latin American and Caribbean countries represented in Bangkok say goodbye to Mr. Songsak Saichaue

Ambassadors from the Latin American and Caribbean countries represented in Bangkok had a farewell get together to say goodbye to the Director General of the Latin American and South Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Mr. Songsak Saichaue, who will soon assume his new responsibility as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand in Austria.

At the cordial meeting, the good status of bilateral relations between Thailand and GRULAC was reaffirmed and the permanent support of Mr. Songsak to the countries of the region was appreciated.
