Cuban Ambassador pays a courtesy visit to the Ambassador of Somalia
Kampala. Cuban Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques paid a courtesy call on her Somali counterpart in Kampala, Mr. Ali Mohamed Mohamud.
The meeting allowed to exchange on the challenges of the African continent, and in particular, the western and eastern regions, as well as to point out priorities of both countries in their bilateral relations with Uganda.
Cuban Ambassador pays a courtesy call on her counterpart from Norway
Kampala. The Cuban Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Elin Østebø Johansen, Ambassador of Norway in Uganda.
The Norwegian diplomat conveyed her satisfaction at having a woman as ambassador of Cuba, and highlighted the increase in the number of heads of mission within the accredited diplomatic corps in Uganda, at the same time that she transferred her work experiences in Kampala and Kigali.
Meeting with authorities of the Ugandan University of Kyabomgo
Kampala. The Cuban Ambassador received at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission in Uganda, Professor Dr. Eli Katunguka-Rwakishaya, Vice Chancellor of Kyabomgo University, who was accompanied by the Director of Human Resources of that educational institution.
The meeting allowed resuming the path of possible bilateral cooperation projects between this university center and the Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba.
Cuban State Mission in Uganda discusses Families Code project.
Kampala. On March 6 and 7, the Cuban State Mission in Uganda discussed the Families Code project from Mbarara and Kampala, respectively.
The sessions constituted a new show of political will to perfect the system of popular participation in the main decisions of the country.
The participants agreed on the quality, scope and timeliness of the document that is being put to the consideration of Cubans today.
