President of the Republic of Uganda receives the Cuban Foreign Minister

His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda received the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez Parilla, who made an official visit to that African nation between June 25 and 28 of this year.

 They dedicated the friendly exchange to the enormous potential in bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the challenges that Cuba and Latin America face today.

Ruling parties of Uganda and Cuba for strengthening their bilateral relations

 

Awich Pollar and Juan Carlos Marzan Aguilera, Director of External Services of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), respectively, chaired the virtual meeting held on June 8 between both ruling parties.

The meeting made it possible to share the challenges faced by both organizations, analyze the potential for bilateral work between the NRM and the PCC, as well as contribute to promoting bilateral cooperation between the two governments.

Embassy of Cuba in Uganda celebrates the 48th anniversary of diplomatic relations and Africa Day.

Kampala. On May 24, the Embassy of Cuba celebrated the 48th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba-Uganda and Africa Day.

The evening was attended by parliamentarians, government representatives, student leaders, the Ugandan Pan-African Movement, along with representatives of the Diplomatic Corps, graduates in Cuba, Cubans residing in the African nation, other members of the solidarity movement, as well as representatives of the media.

Condolences expressed in Uganda for the physical disappearance of Ricardo Alarcón

Kampala. On Monday, May 9, government authorities, organization leaders, and members of the accredited Diplomatic Corps came to pay tribute to Ricardo Alarcón de Quesada, a prominent Cuban politician who died on April 30.

The moment was opportune to highlight Alarcón's revolutionary trajectory, and at the same time receive new messages of gratitude to Cuba and its people for his contribution to the neediest peoples of the world.
