Meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of Uganda

Kampala. On the morning of today, October 25, Frank K. Tumwebaze, Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries of Uganda received Tania Perez, Ambassador of Cuba in that African nation.

The meeting made it possible to evaluate the possibilities of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, inaugurated this afternoon the largest event organized by Cuban public health: the Cuba-Health International Convention 2022.

Meeting with the Permanent Secretary of the Ugandan Foreign Ministry

Kampala. On the afternoon of October 11, Vicent Bagiire, Permanent Secretary of the Ugandan Foreign Ministry, held a meeting with Tania Perez Xiques, Ambassador of Cuba.

The meeting made it possible to update the state of bilateral relations between the two countries and discuss the course of action with a view to continuing to strengthen political relations between the two nations.

The Ugandan Ambassador to the United Nations and the Head of the Department of Political Cooperation of the Foreign Ministry also participated.

 

 

 

Cuban President visits province most affected by hurricane

Havana, Oct 2 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel returns to the western province of Pinar del Río, the most affected by the passage of Hurricane Ian, where the greatest recovery efforts are being concentrated.

Announcing his visit on Twitter, the Cuban president said that the ‘situation in that territory is difficult, the damages are considerable, more than 200 families have lost their homes completely.

But the people of Pinar del Río are not alone, #TodosJuntos saldremos de esta’.

President of the Ugandan Olympic Committee pays a courtesy call to the Ambassador of Cuba.

 

Kampala. On the morning of September 14, Dr. Donald Rukare, President of the Ugandan Olympic Committee, paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador of Cuba in that country.

The Cuban diplomat after thanking the visit, presented the possibilities of bilateral cooperation in sports offered by the Cuban Institute of Physical Education, Sports and Recreation and received similar information from the Ugandan official.

The meeting made it possible to identify the existing potentialities to renew bilateral sports relations.
