Health Minister of State of Uganda receives the Cuban Ambassador.

 

Kampala. On the morning of September 7,  Health Minister of State for General Duties of the Republic of Uganda, Honorable Bangirana Anifa Kawooya, received Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques.

For almost two hours they exchanged about the challenges that the Covid 19 pandemic has imposed on the world's health systems, the possibilities of bilateral cooperation in health matters, and the invitation issued by the Cuban authorities to participate in the Health Convention 2022 event.

FIDEL CASTROS 96TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS IN UGANDA

On the 13th of August, the Residence of the Ambassador of Cuba in Kampala was the scene of a function that brought together Ugandan friends to celebrate the life of Commander Fidel Castro.

The event started with the expression of deep condolences  in the aftermath of the unfortunate incident at the Matanzas Super tanker Base while hailing the dedication with which the Government together with the people rose up to the challenge.

Kampala. On July 22, the Ambassador of Cuba Tania Perez Xiques participated in a meeting of the Uganda Women's Network (UWONET, for its acronym in English).

 

The Cuban diplomat shared about the successes and challenges of the Cuban Revolution at the time of the celebration of the National Rebellion Day in Cuba.

 

Chair Committee on Health of the Parliament of Uganda visited to the Ambassador of Cuba

Kampala. On July 18, the Honorable Ayume Charles, Chair Committee on Health of the Parliament of Uganda, held a meeting with Tania Perez Xiques, Ambassador of Cuba in that African nation.

During their first meeting, they evaluated the progress of Cuban medical cooperation at the University of Mbarara, as well as the existing potential between both countries to enhance the bilateral cooperation in terms of health.
