Extraterritoriality of the blockade against Cuba seeks to hold back our economic development

New York, 2 June 2021. The main sign of the reinforcement of the extraterritoriality of the United States economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba is the application, as of 17 April 2019, of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act, a legislation that imposes coercive measures against third countries to interrupt commercial and investment relations with Cuba, and hold back the economic development of the country.

Illinois House of Representatives urges to end US blockade on Cuba

Washington, 1 June 2021.The Illinois House of Representatives approved a resolution calling Congress to eliminate the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, which has been in force for six decades.

The document is the 33rd adopted by a local or State authority in the US territory in the interest of improving bilateral relations, Havana's ambassador to Washington, Lianys Torres, tweeted on Tuesday.
