Cuba condemns constant US violations as the Host Country of the United Nations

New York, 25 February 2020. Ambassador Oscar León González, Chargé d´Affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations participated today in the session of the Committee on Relations with the Host Country of the United Nations. He stated that there is no legal basis for the restrictions and prohibitions imposed by the United States on the access to the United Nations and the participation of representatives of official delegations of Member States in the meetings of this Organization, including Cuba.

Cuba makes significant achievements in terms of social development, despite the tightening of the US blockade

Representative of Cuba to the United Nations denounces that US blockade hampers UNICEF work in Cuba

New York, 12 February 2020. The impact of the blockade is not a Cuba´s fabrication. It causes inestimable humanitarian damage; it is a flagrant, massive and systematic violation of human rights of the Cuban people, including our children´s and teenagers´. (…) The damage accrued by nearly six decades of blockade exceeds 922 billion dollars.
