Dear friends, sisters and brothers of the Solidarity Movement with Cuba in the United States,
It is with great joy that we celebrate with you the 60th anniversary of our undefeated Revolution. And it is not only joy that we feel when we are here; above all, we are deeply grateful for having received so much solidarity from you.
Solidarity movement with Cuba in NYC celebrates 60 Anniversary of the Revolution.
New York, 8 February 2019. The movement of solidarity with Cuba in New York commemorated today the 60th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, in the place that hosts the progressive organization People's Forum, in this city. Members of solidarity organizations such as Pastors for Peace, the New York-New Jersey Coalition, the July 26th Coalition, Casa de las Americas in New York, the Primero de Mayo Brigade, the Socialist Workers Party, among others, paid tribute not only to Cuba, but to the immortal figure of Fidel Castro Ruz.
The United Nations recognizes Cuba for its contribution to the organization's budget for 2019.
New York, January 31, 2019. Cuba was included in the so-called Honor Roll of the United Nations, for having paid in full its regular budget assessments to the Organization, relevant to the year 2019. The island was Member State number 27 in contributing to the budget of the UN.
In addition, Cuba has completed the payment of most of its budget assessments for Peacekeeping Operations, among other financial commitments it has with the United Nations.
Cuba celebrates the "International Year of Indigenous Languages".
