New York, August 13, 2018. The Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations commemorated on Monday, August 13, the birth of the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
The emotional tribute celebrated the life and work of the beloved leader and his undying example that continues to guide the future of Cubans. His teachings and invaluable legacy of dignity, unity, resistance, solidarity and internationalism were remembered.

Organized by the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, an emotional event to commemorate the 65th Anniversary of the Attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks took place in the evening of July 27. That was a space to remember the blood of the fallen in such a heroic deed, and also to celebrate the many achievements of the Cuban Revolution since its triumph in 1959.
