In this case "The Irish in Latin America", by the Republic of Ireland, will be on display until 2 March. At the first meeting of the year 2018, held on 22 February, the Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, Ambassador Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, was re-elected as Vice-Chairperson of the "Special Committee on the Situation with regard to the Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples", known as the United Nations Decolonization Committee.

The Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, Ambassador Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, had a brief meeting on February 20 with Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine and of the Palestinian National Authority, who traveled to New York to participate in the Security Council briefing on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question.
