On innumerable occasions, most of the international community has rejected the imposition of unilateral coercive measures impeding the full realization of the economic and social development of peoples, particularly the developing countries. Cuba strongly repudiates this practice and urges the States once again to refrain from promulgating and applying any unilateral economic, financial or trade measures not in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

71 UNGA: Cuba at the First Committee vs. the US Embargo

The continuing unilateral discriminatory prohibitions and restrictions imposed by some States against others in terms of transfers for the peaceful use of materials, equipment and technology in the chemical field are unacceptable and need to be repealed. A clear example is the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed against Cuba, in flagrant violation of the letter and the spirit of the Chemical Weapons Convention. 71 UNGA: Cuba at the Third Committee vs. the US Embargo

It is necessary to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial Embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba as a unitary influence favoring peace and the peaceful solution of conflicts and differences. (UN High-Level Forum on the Culture of Peace, 1 September 2016)
