H.E. Mr. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Minister of State, Hector Igarza, Director of North Africa and the Middle East and Jorge Leon, head of the Cuban mission, inaugurated the Embassy of Cuba in Abu Dhabi with the presence of the emirati ambassador in Havana Bader Al Matrooshi, the Directors of America, Protocol and other authorities and personalities of the country, as well as the accredited diplomatic corps and numerous resident Cuban citizens.

En un acto realizado en el marco de la VII Cumbre del Gobierno Mundial, firmaron el Memorando de Entendimiento Luis Enrique González, presidente de PL, y Mohamed Jalal Al Rayssi, director ejecutivo de WAM.
En el documento los firmantes manifiestan su propósito de contribuir a la difusión de valores de coexistencia pacífica entre religiones, doctrinas, e ideologías. El acuerdo prevé además el intercambio de informaciones escritas, material gráfico y de vídeo, así como las relacionadas con el diálogo entre culturas y civilizaciones, programas culturales y sociales.
