London, November 8 - The Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ismara Vargas Walter, made a very successful visit to the city of Bristol, where she met with friends and sympathizers of the Cuban cause, visited emblematic places in the city and participated in various activities with solidarity organizations, trade union leaders and local Labour Party councillors. This day of exchange was a demonstration of the friendship and solidarity that unites the Cuban people with the British community, especially at a time when Cuba is facing the U.S.

Distinction for National Culture awarded to Parvathi Kumaraswami and Antoni Kapcia, unconditional friends of Cuba

British academics from the Nottingham University Parvathi Kumaraswami and Antoni Kapcia, who study and disseminate Cuba's historical and cultural memory, were awarded Cuba’s Distinction for National Culture at the 30th edition of the Fiesta de la Cubanía in Bayamo, in the province of Granma. Their outstanding contribution to the promotion and preservation of Cuban history and culture was, therefore, recognized.
