MOSCOW, Russian Federation: "Surely you want us to talk about Cuba; let's talk about Cuba". The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, told about the beloved Island with ease, emotions and objectivity to about a hundred Cubans with whom he shared this Sunday morning, a few hours after his arrival in Moscow.
Cuba stresses importance of full compliance with immigration agreements with the U.S.
Briefing the press on the course of the round of migration talks with the United States that took place today in Havana, Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío said that the Cuban delegation welcomed the announcement of the full resumption of immigrant visa services at the U.S. Embassy in Cuba as of January 4, 2023.
At the same time, it reiterated the importance of the full restoration of immigration and consular services at the U.S. Embassy in Havana, particularly the processing of non-immigrant visas.
For Cuba: respect and affection at the Great Mosque of Algiers
ALGIERS-On Friday morning, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, toured the beautiful spaces -under roof or outdoors- of the Great Mosque of Algiers, and wrote about the book offered there to the visitor:
"For the Cuban delegation that I preside is an honor and great satisfaction to visit this sacred place where we can appreciate the historical and cultural richness of Algeria. It is a beautiful place that allows us to feel in an atmosphere of freedom, peace, harmony and beauty".
Cuban President begins work agenda in Algeria
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today congratulated his Algerian counterpart, Abdelmajid Tebboune, on his birthday and thanked him for welcoming the Caribbean delegation on an official visit to Algerian soil.
Today is the birthday of our host, Abdelmajid Tebboune, President and Minister of Defense of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, since December 19, 2019. I congratulate him and thank him for his attentions to #Cuba's delegation on such a personal day," Diaz-Canel wrote on his account on the social network Twitter.
