Love overcomes hatred in solidarity caravan opposing U.S. blockade

Shouting "Cuba yes, Blockade No", a new solidarity caravan started on Sunday across Miami, Florida, opposing the U.S. blockade imposed on Cuba for over 60 years.

After singing the Cuban National Anthem at 11:00 o´clock sharp, about a hundred caravanists boarded their vehicles to take to South Florida´s main streets.

Those who oppose us want to put on a show anyway, said Roberto Yis, member of the solidarity project Puentes de Amor (Bridges of Love).

Díaz-Canel: "2023 has to be a better year".

"2023 has to be a better year; we have all the bases, in addition to the conviction, that it can be a better year," so considered the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, speaking at the most recent meeting of the Council of Ministers, in which the main aspects of the National Economy Plan and the State Budget for next year were presented.

National elections called in Cuba

The Cuban Council of State today called for national elections to be held on March 26, 2023.

 The elections will allow the election of deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) for a five-year term.

According to the website of the Cuban Legislative, the call is made in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic and Law No 127 "Electoral Law" of July 13, 2019.

Cuban President ratifies priority of energy issue

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel ratified the priority given to the energy issues in his recently concluded international tour to African, Asian and European nations.    

Díaz-Canel attached to his message on this social network a link to the Presidency’s website, which published recent statements by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O, after the return to the island of the government´s delegation, of which he was part.
