Congressional Black Caucus Calls for an End to the Blockade Against Cuba
Washington, May 25, 2026. — The Congressional Black Caucus raised its voice against the oil blockade imposed on Cuba and called on the U.S. administration to lift the economic sanctions that, according to the organization, have worsened the humanitarian crisis on the island.
In a letter addressed to President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the legislative group described the policy of economic pressure as “barbaric” and blamed the current coercive measures for the deterioration of living conditions for the Cuban people.
