Findings of Che's remains, a fact that shocked Cuba.

The discovery of the remains of the Argentinean Cuban guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara 26 years ago today, marked a milestone that shocked Cuba, after three decades of incessant search.

Such event is considered here a victory over those who, by hiding the corpses of Che and his comrades-in-arms in the Bolivian war, tried to silence the example of rebelliousness of the Cuban Revolution and a show of loyalty and gratitude for the sacrifice of the man known here as the Heroic Guerrilla.

Cuba reiterated its call for the closure of the U.S. prison in Guantanamo.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez reiterated today the call for the closure of the prison at the Guantánamo Naval Base, installed by the United States against the will of this nation.

On his Twitter account, the top representative of the island's diplomacy posted a link to a recent United Nations report on that prison, and asked: How much more evidence is needed for the United States to close the detention and torture center it maintains in the Cuban territory illegally occupied by the Guantánamo Naval Base?

Pro-Cuba Voices Resound in the White House

With a massive march in front of the White House, the day of solidarity carried out by the National Network of Solidarity with Cuba in the United States culminated.

This Sunday's demonstration, in which participated representatives of more than a hundred organizations and social movements, showed the feelings of the Americans and their fellow countrymen living in the United States for the largest of the Antilles.

Resolution passed in New York against the U.S. blockade of Cuba.

The New York City Council approved a resolution urging the U.S. Congress and President Joe Biden to lift the blockade of Cuba because of the harm it causes to its people.

"We will have a press conference this morning at City Hall," activist Rosemarie Mealy told Prensa Latina via telephone when offering details about the text (Res. No. 285-A), endorsed with a vote of 49 to 0.

Solidarity with Cuba knocks on doors in U.S. Congress

Representatives of the National Cuba Solidarity Network will visit the U.S. Congress today as part of the actions that will conclude next Sunday with a protest in front of the White House.

Cheryl LaBash, co-president of the Network, confirmed to Prensa Latina, that this Thursday morning they will knock on the doors of members of the Senate with the request that gives name to the campaign #Off the list, which demands to remove Cuba from the list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism.
