Head of Mission visits former Cuban Embassy in the Vietnamese jungle
Cuban ambassador to Vietnam, Lianys Torrres Rivera, visited in the Tay Ninh province the former headquarters of the Provisional Government of South Vietnam, and the place where the Cuban Embassy was settled in the middle of the Vietnamese jungle.
Torres Rivera visited the small cabin that hosted the Cuban Mission, in a place near the border with Cambodia, in the heart of the enemy territory and a few kilometers from the US bases.
Embassy attends a ceremony in the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital
The Embassy of Cuba attended a ceremony where the Labor Order, third degree, was conferred to the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital, an institution of the capital city that this year is half a century old.
Dang Thi Ngoc Tinh, vice president of the Indo-Chinese country, awarded the Hospital whit the Order, conferred by the Vietnamese State, in recognition of the work of aa hospital that has become a provincial reference center in the specialties of otolaryngology and dentistry.
Minister of Justice concludes work visit to Vietnam
The Minister of Justice of Cuba, Oscar Manuel Silvera Martínez, completed a working visit to Vietnam during which he met with State, Government, and judicial authorities of the Indochinese country.
In a meeting with the Prime Minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Premier expressed to the Cuban visitor the will to continue promoting the exchange of delegations and integral cooperation between the two countries, especially within the legal field.
Second meeting of resident Cubans was held in Hanoi
The Cuban Embassy in Hanoi hosted on December 14 the second meeting of Cuban residents, with the presence of the nationals living in the northern half of Vietnam.
On this occasion, the Cuban ambassador in the Indo-Chinese country, Lianys Torres Rivera, reviewed the relevant political events that took place in the country in 2019, such as the approval of a new Constitution with broad popular support, the election of the President and the Vice President of the Republic, as well as the President of the National Assembly.
Hanoi dances to the rhythm of Compay Segundo
To the rhythm of classics of the Cuban pentagram such as Guantanamera, Negra Tomasa, and Chan Chan, hundreds of people enjoyed the Compay Segundo group´s first concert in the Vietnamese capital.
The Salsa Night Fever show brought the exclusivity of a symbol of traditional Cuban music to the multinational public who attended the Hanoi Youth Theater, including Vietnam fans, foreign tourists, Vietnamese graduated in Cuba, cooperators from the Caribbean country, and Cubans residents in this city.
