Cuba in Zimbabwe

Cuba's solidarity in the training of Zimbabwean human resources is recognized despite the strong sanctions imposed to the Island.

Harare, August 2, 2024- In the presence of more than 500 students; his relatives, officials of the Presidency and the Cabinet, the media and the ambassadors of Cuba, Serbia, Russia, India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia, the historical support of our Government was recognized by offering scholarships to young Zimbabweans, even in difficult times due to the difficult economic situation imposed by the blockade.

Young Zimbabwean travels to Cuba to pursue university studies

Harare, April 2, 2024.- The Counsellor of the Cuban Embassy in Zimbabwe, Yoisy Ford García, on behalf of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Harare, wished good travels and success to the young zimbabwean Lesley Gwati who will begin her studies in the Latin American School of Medicine.

Lesley will join 7 other young people from her country who are studying university degrees on the Caribbean island. The head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, Dr. Maria Eugenia García Céspedes, as well as the parents and other relatives of the Young Woman, were also present on the occasion.
