Embassy of Cuba in the Netherlands celebrates the Day of National Cuban Culture

The Hague, 20 October 2019. The Embassy of Cuba in the Kingdom of the Netherlands celebrated on the evening of Saturday 19th the Day of Cuban National Culture with the attendance of special guests mainly Cuban artists who reside in the Netherlands and friends linked to the world of culture.

Ambassador Soraya Alvarez paid an emotional homage to the recently passed Prima Ballerina Assoluta Alicia Alonso and highlighted the importance of the Cuban culture in the country´s image as a distinct, highly valued and unique trade worldwide.

Vice President of the National Assembly of People´s Power and the Council of State of Cuba, Ana María Mari Machado, holds exchanges in the Netherlands.

The Hague, October 21st. 2019. A delegation of Cuba´s National Assembly of People´s Power led by its Vice-president Ana María Mari Machado, visited The Netherlands on October 18th and held useful exchanges with her Dutch counterparts. The visitors were received by Members of Parliament, officials of both houses of the legislative as well as senior functionaries of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Delegation of Cuban water resources management experts visits the Netherlands.

The Hague, October 16th. Between October 13 to 19 several Cuban officials and experts in water management is in The Netherlands as part of a work program with their Dutch counterparts sponsored by the Embassy of the Law Countries in Havana.

President of Cuba´s National Institute of Water Resources (INRH Spanish language acronym) held fruitful exchanges with Dutch experts in water management and coastal protection.

The Hague, October 14th.President of Cuba´s National Institute of Water Resources (INRH), Engineer Antonio Rodríguez Rodríguez, in the context of a short stay in the Netherlands on rout to the Water Summit to be held in Budapest Hungary, held several meetings with Dutch experts specialized in comprehensive water management and coastal protection works in this country.

Cuba denuncia el bloqueo de EEUU en el marco de la 92 sesión del Consejo Ejecutivo de la OPAQ.

La Haya, 9 de octubre de 2019. La Embajadora de Cuba en el Reino de los Países Bajos y Representante Permanente ante la Organización para la Prohibición de la Armas Químicas (OPAQ), Excma. Sra. Soraya Alvarez Núñez, intervino en el debate general de la 92 sesión del Consejo Ejecutivo de dicha organización y nuevamente denunció la unilateral política de bloqueo del gobierno de EEUU como franca violación de las disposiciones del artículo XI de la Convención.
