Politburo member and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Le Hoai Trung, paid an official visit to Cuba from June 20 to 22 as the special envoy of Party General Secretary and President To Lam. The purpose of the visit was to inform the Communist Party of Cuba of the outcomes of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and to strengthen cooperation between the two Parties and countries. During his stay, Le Hoai Trung met with First Secretary and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, and held talks with Politburo member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.

Ambassador Do Hung Viet, head of Vietnam's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, urged member states of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to uphold the spirit of unity and to firmly raise their voices against the blockade and sanctions imposed on Cuba, in defense of the organization's founding principles. His remarks were delivered during the NAM meeting held on May 27 in New York, United States. The Vietnamese ambassador expressed Vietnam's deep solidarity with the challenges facing the Cuban people. He emphasized that unilateral coercive measures have exacerbated Cuba's economic and social difficulties amid increasing international pressure.

The Sự Thật National Political Publishing House of Việt Nam and Cuba’s Fidel Castro Ruz Centre have reached an agreement to jointly publish Obras Escogidas (Selected Works) by Fidel Castro, marking a significant effort to preserve and promote the Cuban leader’s ideological legacy while deepening bilateral ties. The agreement was discussed during talks in Hà Nội on Wednesday, as part of a working visit to Việt Nam by a Cuban delegation from May 18–22, led by Dr. Réne González Barrios, Director of the Fidel Castro Ruz Centre.
