Monrovia, September 17, 2020 - Young Liberians united with the collective of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia participated in the virtual event "Solidarity vs. Blockade", where they denounced the genocidal sanctions imposed on Cuba by the government of the United States.
Organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), the event included excellent interventions by friends from Ghana, Iran, Australia, El Salvador, and Timorese students, among others.
This virtual action against the blockade is part of the Day of Condemnation of the Blockade, which will take place on the 17th of each month until the next vote that advocates the end of the blockade at the United Nations.
The interventions of the panelists who participated in this virtual event are tools for the work of solidarity with Cuba.
The blockade against Cuba is a policy that remains intact to this day, accentuated with intentional perversity during the COVID-19 pandemic, but Cuba is not alone, hundreds of governments, friendly peoples and thousands of solidarity organizations oppose such a cruel policy.
