Monrovia, November 17, 2020 - This Tuesday, members of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association participated in the virtual meeting "Solidarity vs. Blockade" in which they condemned the damages caused by the genocidal measure of the United States to the right to education of the Cubans.
The members of this solidarity group sent messages of support to Cuba and in rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States imposes on the Caribbean country by flooding the Internet in this virtual event and tweet of solidarity organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
The online international forum to denounce the damages of the US blockade against Cuba in the education sector was held with the participation of friends from different countries, directors of the Ministry of Education (MINED) and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
The blockade seriously impacts the teaching-learning process in Cuba, by imposing limitations on the acquisition of necessary technological supplies and equipment.
This activity is part of actions against the blockade as is traditional on the 17th of each month.
