I dedicate these first words to ratify Cuba’s solidarity and support to the brotherly people of Palestine, victim of more than 75 years of colonial occupation, flagrant violations to their legitimate rights as a nation, submitted to cruelty, aggressions, collective punishments and apartheid.
It is an unacceptable tragedy, plain for all to see; it’s a wound in human consciousness.
This Tuesday morning, at the Varona Amphitheater of the University of Havana, in the presence of Rector Dr. Miriam Nicado, a master lecture was given by Professor Dewayne Wickham of Morgan State University. Members of the university community, as well as students from the School of Philosophy and History, the School of Communication, and areas that have lines of research associated with the USA - Cuba, among other guests, also participated.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, continued his work program in New York, participating in the Summit of the Future that takes place at the headquarters of the United Nations. In addition, he took part today in the Ministerial Meeting of the NAM Coordinating Bureau, under the central theme: “Protection of the civilian population in armed conflicts: solidarity with the Palestinian people”.
New York, September 22, 2024 - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, from the plenary session of the Summit of the Future, warned today about the need of the peoples for less interference and more solidarity; less unequal exchange and more equity; less politicization and double standards and more dialogue, cooperation and respect for their right to choose their political, economic and social system, as an essential condition to ensure peaceful coexistence.
