Cuban Consular Office in the U.S. returned to face-to-face services.

The Consular Office of Cuba in the United States today returned to its face-to-face services, interrupted during the COVID-19 pandemic, although the usual channels are maintained through postal mail and contracted agencies.

It is very good that we have already returned to normality, Vice Consul Tatiana Martinez told Prensa Latina while welcoming the resumption of services "that will allow speeding up procedures, especially notarial ones".

Eighth Celac Summit begins in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The eighth summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) began today in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, with the presence of representatives of the more than 30 member nations of the integration mechanism.

The national coordinator of the bloc, Douglas Slater, expressed his gratitude to the guests and highlighted, among others, the presence of the host president, Ralph Gonsalves, and his counterpart from Honduras, Xiomara Castro, who will assume the pro-tempore presidency of the organization at this meeting.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba informs that the Contact Point that took place in Havana after the end of the Sixth Cycle of the Round Table of Dialogues between the Government of Colombia and the National Liberation Army has concluded, which was held from January 22nd to February 6th, 2024, in the capital of Cuba.

THE CONSULAR OFFICE OF CUBA IN THE UNITED STATES RESUMES ON-SITE SERVICES

The Consular Office of Cuba in the United States informs that, as of March 4, it will resume face-to-face services. The Office will be open to the public from Monday to Friday from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The usual channels established to request our consular services through the postal service and the Agencies that have a contract with the Consular Office will be maintained.

Please take into account the requirements established for each procedure prior to your visit to our consulate.

Former Alabama Treasurer in favor of normal U.S.-Cuba relations.

Former Alabama Treasurer John McMillan highlighted the opportunities that U.S. farmers would have in Cuba and the possibility of exchange in both directions if there were normal relations between the two countries today.

During an exclusive dialogue with Prensa Latina in Montgomery, capital of the state of Alabama, McMillan, in office from 2019-2021, recalled that one of the best moments of his two visits to Cuba was going to rural areas "where we met some of the tobacco growers and saw how cigars were made".
