U.S. blockade worsens the lack of medicines in Cuba.

One of the main factors behind the shortage of medicines suffered by Cuba today is the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed and intensified by the U.S. government.

The president of the business group BioCubafarma, Eduardo Martínez explained that in the case of financing for raw materials, although we have the money, there are problems in the payment to suppliers, due to the refusal of the banks to work with Cuba.

This attitude is due to the blockade, a unilateral policy of the United States, said Martínez, quoted by Granma newspaper.

Cuba to address social and economic development for lasting peace.

Cuba today advocated for a sustained and lasting peace by eradicating the root causes of conflicts, particularly the problems of social and economic development affecting the countries of the South.

During the open debate convened by the Security Council on the promotion of sustained peace through common development, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gerardo Peñalver, said that this is a consequence of the current unjust international order.

Tribute to Fidel Castro paid in the U.S.

Fidel Castro elevated Cuba to the recognition it enjoys today in the Western Hemisphere and around the world, said Alejandro García, second head of the Caribbean country's Mission to the United States.

In a meeting to remember the legacy and life of the maximum leader of the Cuban Revolution, on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of his departure to immortality on November 25, the diplomat addressed different facets of the statesman, recognized as one of the most outstanding figures of the 20th century and part of the 21st century.
