Minister of Finance of Grenada receives the Ambassador of Cuba.

St George, January 31. At the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance, the head of the sector, Honorable Dennis S. M. Cornwall and member of Parliament for the St Patrick East constituent, received the Cuban ambassador, Ivette Martínez Leyva. In a warm meeting, the diplomat talked about bilateral cooperation projects, still in a memorandum of understanding, but with prospects of being implemented this year. On another note, she congratulated him on the 50th anniversary of Independence and the good atmosphere generated in the country by the celebrations and commemorative activities.

Ambassador of Cuba was received by the new Minister of Health of Grenada.

St George, January 19. At the headquarters of the Ministerial Complex, the Honorable Philip Telesford received the Ambassador of Cuba in Grenada, Ivette Martínez Leyva, in the presence of the Chancellor, Honorable Joseph Andall and the director of St George's General Hospital, Dr. Tyhiesia Donald. The newly appointed Minister for the Health portfolio thanked the Cuban collaborators in Grenada for the good work and showed willingness to extend and deepen the services provided. For her part, the Cuban diplomat referred to the commitment and responsibility in the doctors' performance and highlighted the potential for the application of Cuban treatments for recurring diseases on the island, such as Heberprot for the cure of diabetic foot.

Prime Minister of Grenada Dickon Mitchell receives the Ambassador of Cuba.

St George, January 10th. The Prime Minister of Grenada, the Honorable Dickon Mitchell, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Ivette Martínez Leyva, in his office at the Ministerial Complex.
In a friendly meeting, Grenada’s leader welcomed the Cuban diplomat to the country and they reviewed the status of the cooperation instruments between both countries. They also exchanged projections for the celebration of the 45th anniversary of bilateral relations in April.

Cuban Ambassador holds fraternal meeting with Former President of the Senate of Grenada. 

Saint George, January 5, 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba in Grenada Ivette Martínez received Mr. Chester Humphrey, former President of the Senate of Grenada and dear friend of Cuba, at the diplomatic headquarters.
The occasion was propitious to exchange on the historic relations of cooperation with Cuba in the parliamentary and union sphere, as well as the desire to continue deepening them. For her part, the Ambassador thanked the support received by the government of Grenada for the Cuban cause for the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States Government against Cuba.
