Speech by the Vice President of the Republic of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, high-level meeting on resource mobilization for Small Island Developing States

It is a fact that the imbalances of the international financial system do not provide the necessary stability to achieve the sustainable development goals and meet the special needs of small Island Developing States.

The alternative for our countries can no longer be based on old formulas. The only viable solution lies in the rethinking of the unjust and unequal international economic order and the current bases that define North-South relations and life on the planet.

 

St. Kitts and Nevis Friendship Association Statement

The Saint Kitts and Nevis - Cuba Friendship Association reiterates its demand that the United States government remove Cuba from that unjust list, which has a negative impact on the Cuban people. Likewise, we ask for the immediate end of the genocidal blockade imposed on Cuba.

Ambassador of Cuba to St. Kitts and Nevis visits Acting Permanent Secretary of Health.

The Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health of this Federation, Curtis Martin, recently appointed to the position, received a visit by the ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, David Rivero Pérez, this morning at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health.

The meeting held in an affable mood, was favorable for the formal presentations by both parties, as well as for the approach to issues of common interest, with emphasis on cooperation in this sector and the performance of the Cuban Medical Brigade that works here.

Saint Kitts and Nevis and Cuba: 29 Years of Fraternal Ties

As we approach three decades of diplomatic relations between our nations, we reflect on all the good we have achieved together, but also on the responsibility that challenges us to work harder and better, for the benefit of our sister nation. Cuba reaffirms its firm commitment to maintaining cooperation and solidarity with this brotherly country.

Within the framework of the commemorations of the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Cuba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this Federation, the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, who also heads the Ministries of Economic Development, International Trade, Investment, Industry and Trade, received ,a courtesy meeting by Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, David Rivero Pérez, at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, both parties welcomed one more anniversary of a fraternal and unwavering relationship between their peoples and governments.
