Cuban Ambassador presents Letters of Credence to the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)

Vienna, May 12, 2023 - Cuban Ambassador Pablo Berti Oliva presented to His Excellency Mr. Gerd Müller, Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cuba to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

As part of the credential’s presentation ceremony, the Cuban Ambassador spoke with Mr. Müller about the cooperation between Cuba and UNIDO, as well as the possibilities of expanding it through new projects.

A few minutes ago, we had the opportunity to participate in the event organized to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the liberation of the Mauthausen Concentration Camp. Now we are gathered here in front of the plaque that commemorates the 5 Cubans who, according to the records, suffered the atrocities that were committed in this place.

Victims of the Mauthausen concentration camp honoured in Austria

Vienna, May 7, 2023. As part of the commemorative parade for the 78th anniversary of the liberation of the Mauthausen Concentration Camp, the Cuban Embassy in Austria, together with the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (ÖKG) organized a solemn activity in front of the plaque commemorating the five Cuban anti-fascist fighters who were victims of the Nazi-fascist regime in that place.
