Cuba and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) sign the 2021-2025 Country Program

Vienna, October 14, 2021. At the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, the signing of the Cuba-UNIDO Country Program took place today, for the period 2021-2025. The Cuban side was represented by Ambassador Soraya Álvarez, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba in Austria and the counterpart, by Ciyong Zou, managing director of the Directorate of Programs, Alliances and Coordination of UNIDO.

A ceremony in honor of the 54th anniversary of the fall in combat of the Heroic Guerrilla is held in Vienna

Vienna, October 8, 2021. Organized by the Embassy of Cuba in Vienna, in coordination with the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (ÖKG); Before the bust of the Heroic Guerrilla Fighter in the Danube Park of the Austrian capital, a symbolic and emotional act was held in which his life and historical legacy were remembered, 54 years after his fall in combat.

Cuba receives Remarkable Achievement Award, granted by the IAEA and the FAO

Vienna, September 20, 2021. Cuba today received the Remarkable Achievement award, granted by the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, for the excellent use of plant breeding and biotechnology techniques in the food production. The award ceremony took place within the framework of the 65th IAEA General Conference.

IAEA recognizes the work of Cuban scientists
