Expo photos "Jose Martí with Greece in the heart" on Greek island of Ikaria, the Aegean Cuba
Athens, 18 November The photographic exhibition "José Martí with Greece in the Heart" was inaugurated in the activities room of the former city hall of Ikaria, in front of the monument to Icarus, in the same port of the city of Agios Kyrikos , capital of the island. At the important cultural event, organized by the mayor of Ikaria and the Embassy of Cuba in Greece, took the floor the mayor of the city Nikolas Kalamboyas, who welcomed those present and praised Martí's work; Member of the town council Nikos Lardas of the Communist Party (KKE), who expressed the solidarity of the People of Ikaria with Cuba; Cuban Ambassador Zelmys María Dominguez Cortina who thanked everyone for the presence and solidarity at a time of upsurge in the unjust US blockade against Cuba in the year of the 60th anniversary of the revolution. For his part the author of the expo Counsellor of the embassy José Oriol Marrero Martínez explained the concepts of it and gave those present an interesting tour of The life and work of Martí and his love for Greece.
