Solidarity support for Cuba in Crete

Athens, 23 October. Cuba's Ambassador to Greece Zelmys María Dominguez Cortina and Counselor José Oriol Marrero Martínez made a comprehensive working visit to Crete, Greece's largest island, from 16 to 21 October, coordinated by Cuba's friend Manolis Vrithias, who accompanied them all the time.
The main objective was the inauguration of the photographic exhibition "With Cuba in the Heart", the work of the counselor and consul of the Embassy of Cuba in Greece José Oriol Marrero Martínez, organized by the Municipality of Heraclio, the Natural History Museum and the embassy in Makasi Gallery, in the city's ancient Venetian wall, from 17 to 31 October.

GRULAC meeting with Director for Latin America of the Greek chancellery

Athens, October, 14th . The group of Ambassadors from Latin America and the Caribbean (GRULAC) in Greece, had a meeting with the Director for Latin America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, His Excellency Ambassador Yerassimos Davaris.
The meeting was organized by the dean of the group Mr. Daniel Hernandez and was attended by ambassadors and representatives of Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Tribute to Che in Greece

Athens, 9 October. An emotional tribute was held to Che on the anniversary of his fall at the Cine Studio of the company New Star Cinema of Velisarios Kossivakis, with the screening of the Russian Today (RT) documentary in Spanish called "Che: roads, footprints, riddles”.
At the activity took the floor Velissarios Kossivakis, organizer of the event; Cuba's ambassador to Greece Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina; the counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, Vasily Gavrilov and the director of the film Alexander Luchaninov.

Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of Greece received the Ambassador of Cuba

Athens, 8 October 2019. The new Vice Minister of Culture and Sports of the Hellenic Republic Lefteris Avgenakis received at the headquarters of his ministry the ambassador of Cuba to Greece Zelmys María Dominguez Cortina.
The possibilities for collaboration and the signing of a sports agreement between Cuba and Greece were discussed.
