Goodbye to Terje Enger, great friend of Cuba

Oslo, October 15, 2022.  October 8th,  was a sad day: at the age of 84, Terje Enger passed away. His feelings of solidarity and appreciation towards Fidel, the Revolution and the Cuban people, led him to become one of the founders of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association in 1964 and its President for many years with an outstanding performance. Likewise, he was editor-in-chief of "Cuba Nytt", the Organization's magazine, until his retirement in 2021.

The Mayor of Oslo receives the Ambassador of Cuba to Norway

Oslo, October 7, 2022. The ambassador of Cuba, Maité Rivero Torres, paid a courtesy call to the Mayor of Oslo, Marianne Borgen, with a view to strengthening ties with this municipality, in which, being the capital of Norway, The Royal House, the National Government and the Parliament are located, as well as the accredited Diplomatic Corps.

In the cordial meeting, the Ambassador and the Mayor discussed the existing possibilities for the development of exchange and cooperation relations in different sectors, in particular between Oslo and Havana.

Cuba advocates the development of ties with Norway in the parliamentary sphere

Oslo, September 29, 2022. The Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, visited the Norwegian Parliament (Storting), where she had a cordial meeting with Vibeke Rysst-Jensen, head of the International Department.

The Cuban diplomat expressed her interest in working for the progress of the relations between Cuba and Norway in the parliamentary sphere. Likewise, she conveyed the will of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (ANPP) to develop its ties with the Norwegian legislative body.
