As of April 1, 2025, all Cubans entering the island must do so with their valid passport, after the extension ordered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expires.
Ana Teresita González Fraga, general director of Consular Affairs and Assistance to Cubans Residing Abroad (Daccre), reported that, following the situations generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government ordered that Cuban citizens residing in the national territory who were abroad could return to the country without having to renew their passport.
Stockholm, November 25, 2024. At the Cuban Embassy in Sweden, the 8th anniversary of the physical passing of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander Fidel Castro Ruz, was commemorated. In an atmosphere filled with emotion and symbolism, Cuban residents, solidarity friends, and the embassy staff gathered to honor the legacy of one of the greatest leaders of the 20th century.
Stockholm, November 21, 2024 - Once again, Cuba's friends in Sweden are mobilizing to support the Cuban people in a difficult situation.
16 suitcases containing medical supplies and expendable material arrived on the Island to be sent to different hospitals. Members of the Swedish-Cuban Friendship Association were the bearers of this valuable contribution, which shows their sense of solidarity and support for the Cuban Revolution. "Chile despertó" Association has also participated in this action, which is part of the "Solidarity suitcases for Cuba" campaign.
The Swedish-Cuban Association stands in solidarity with the Cuban people who have been hit by two hurricanes and two earthquakes in a short period of time. In addition to the natural disasters, there is also the extremely anti-Cuban administration that will take office in the United States in January 2025. We would like to express our support for the Cuban authorities and people in their arduous task of reconstruction, something that is made more difficult by the cruel blockade and sanctions. We have launched a fundraising campaign to contribute to the reconstruction.
