ETHIOPIAN PRESIDENT CONTINUES HIS VISIT TO CUBA

Mayabeque, 11 January 2018. The President of the Democratic Republic of Etiopia, H.E. Dr. Mulatu Teshome continues his stay to Cuba.   Today he visited the Cuban Genetic Entreprise "Rosafe Signet".

Accompanied by the Cuban Minister of Agriculture, Gustavo Rodríguez Rollero,  the Ethiopian leader was informed about a bull from an Ontario farm that helped breed Cuba’s dairy herd. This Cuban entreprise has developed new ways of animal artificial insemination.

PRESIDENT OF ETHIOPIA WELCOMED IN CUBA

Havana, January 9, 2018.  The President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E. Dr. Mulatu Teshome was received by the Cuban President Raúl Castro Ruz in an Official Welcoming Ceremony in the Palace of the Revolution.

After the review of the troops, both Presidents greeted their respective delegations and hold official talks.  The meeting served to confirm the fraternal relations existing between the two countries and to explore new ways to expand cooperation in various fields.

 

WREATH LYING CEREMONY IN HONOR TO JOSE MARTI

Havana, 9 January, 2018.  The President of Ethiopia presided the wreath lying ceremony in homage to the Cuban National Hero "José Martï" at the Revolution Square.  The Ethiopian leader was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rogelio Sierra. Later, the President visited the José Martí Memorial and signed the visitors book.

PRESIDENT OF ETHIOPIA IN CUBA

Havana, January 8, 2018. The President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E. Dr. Mulatu Teshome Wirtu, arrived to Cuba on Official Visit.  The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Ana Teresita González Fraga welcomed the President at "José Martí" International Airport.

In attendance  from the Cuban side, the Director for Subsaharan Africa in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gisela García Rivera and Vilma Thomas Ramírez, Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia.  From the Ethiopian side, H.E. Mr. Dewano Kedir was also present.
