Cuba and Ghana strengthen medical cooperation

A new Medical Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba (MINSAP) and its Ghanaian counterpart, through which it was agreed to send new Cuban specialists in support of the Ghanaian Health System.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Health of Ghana, Mr. Alexander P. Segbefia, while on behalf of the MINSAP, the Cuban Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González signed.

Cuba and the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa strengthen relations

The Executive Director of the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), Dr. Yemi Akinbamijo, was received at the Cuban Embassy by the Ambassador Pedro L. Despaigne González, who exchanged on the best way to put in function the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2015 with the Ministry of Agriculture of Cuba, as well as its possible extension to other countries of the continent. 

Cubans in Ghana celebrate Father's Day

Members of the Cuban community at Ghana, together with Ghanaian graduates in Cuba and the members of the Cuban State Mission celebrated the Father's Day.

The meeting was held in T-Havana areas, in the city of Tema, which became an ideal setting to exchanges on the reality of the Caribbean island in an atmosphere of Cubanness. The Ambassador Pedro L. Despaigne González, on behalf of the members of the State Mission in the country, congratulated the all the fathers there present. 

Review of the Cuban medical cooperation in Ghana

The Cuban Ambassador, Mr. Pedro Luis Despaigne González, visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Health of Ghana where he held a working meeting with the Minister, Mr. Alexander Segbefia.

Both sides pointed out the steps that have been taken to reestablish the medical cooperation in Ghana and also recognized the good state of cooperation for the academic services that Cuba offers to about 250 young Ghanaians who are currently studying Medicine and other related careers on the island.
