40th Anniversary of the arrival of the first ESBECANs to Cuba

Accra, September 2nd, 2023– August 31st, marked the 40th anniversary of the arrival of the first group of Ghanaians to study in Cuba. For this reason, the Cuban Residence in Ghana was filled with those, no longer so young, who studied in the Caribbean Island, as the second activity of a program planned for a whole year of celebration.

 

Association of Ghanaian Graduates in Cuba began activities for the 40th Anniversary.

Accra, August 31st, 2023- With a solemn Wreath laying ceremony at the grave of the Former President Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings, at the military cemetery of the Ghana Armed Forces of Burma Camp in the Ghanaian capital, was started a program organized by the Association of Ghanaian Graduates in Cuba, ESBECAN, for the 40th Anniversary of the arrival of the batch of Ghanaian students to Cuba.

 

Ghanaian Foreign Minister receives Cuban Ambassador.

Accra, August 23, 2023-The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuban, H.E. Mrs. Anette Chao García, at the headquarters of her institution.

 

During the meeting, the top Ghanaian official conveyed to the representative of the Caribbean Island the willingness of Ghana to support the largest of the Antilles in its battle to lift the Economic, Commercial and Financial Blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States of America.

 

Cuban Ambassador meets with ESBECAN Executive Body.

Accra, August 22nd, 2023.- The Board of the Cuban Trained Association, headed by its President, Phillip Bentil, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Ghana where they held a meeting with its Ambassador, Anette Chao García.
