Statement from the Revolutionary Government regarding the visit to Havana by a delegation led by CIA Director John Ratcliffe

Following the request submitted by the U.S. government to receive a delegation led by CIA Director John Ratcliffe in Havana, the Cuban leadership approved the visit and the meeting between Ratcliffe and his counterpart from the Ministry of Interior.
The meeting was held on Thursday, May 14, in a context marked by the complexity of bilateral relations. It aimed to contribute to political dialogue between the two countries as part of ongoing efforts to address the current situation.

Statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

The Executive Order of May 1st and the blockade measures announced today further increase the harm to the Cuban Population and reinforce the threat of aggression.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects, in the strongest possible terms, the Executive Order issued by the White House on May 1st, 2026, which tightens, to unprecedented and extreme levels, the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.

National May Day celebration held in Koforidua, in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Accra, 1 may 2026. – As guests of honor, the Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Julio E. Pujol Torres, and Yamil Eduardo Martínez Marrero, Second Secretary of the Embassy, were invited to represent the workers of our country at the National May Day Celebration held at Jackson Park in the town of Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The ceremony was presided over by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana.

Accra. April 22, 2026. The staff of the Cuban Mission in Ghana gathered at the Embassy to reaffirm their full support for the call made by Miguel Díaz -Canel Bermúdez during the historic celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Declaration of the Socialist Character of the Revolution, in which he called for a national and international movement of solidarity and condemnation against the genocidal blockade, the brutal economic war, the policy of hatred, and the continuous threats of military aggression by imperialism against the Cuban people.
