The Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), H.E. Inger Andersen, received to the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Kenya, Ines Fors Fernández.
The Director-General of the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON), Zainab Hawa Bangura, received today the credentials of H.E. Inés Fors Fernández, new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cuba to the Office.
The Cuban ambassador Inés Fors Fernández, presented this Wednesday, the Letters of Credence that accredit her as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to His Excellency, William Samoei Ruto, PhD, president of the Republic of Kenya.
Following nomination by the United Nations Secretary-General, the General Assembly, on 7 June 2024, elected Anacláudia Marinheiro Centeno Rossbach of Brazil as Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), at the Under-Secretary-General level, for a term of office of four years. The date she will assume office will be announced soon.
