Pretoria, May 28, 2020.- Few days ago the Mayor of the small Italian town of Crema, Cde Stefania Bonaldi, joined the growing calls by the organisations of the world such as the Alternative Student organisation, Noi Restiamo, Communist network, the French organisation Cuba Linda, the Caribbean Studies Association, and many others for the nomination of the Cuban international medical brigade specialised in disasters and serious epidemics’ Henry Reeve” for the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize.

Africa will be always an inseparable part of Cuba!

Pretoria, May 25, 2020.- There are many reasons for Cuba to commemorate Africa on this 25th day of May. Africa is part of the very essence of our Homeland.

As a result of four centuries of cruel slave trade; almost 1,300,000 Africans came to our island. Their strong presence marked forever the history of our nation.

President of South Africa thanks Cuba for sending specialists to assist against COVID-19

Pretoria, May 14, 2020. In statements to the press, the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, accompanied by the country's Minister of Health, Dr. Zweli Mkhezi, expressed his satisfaction with the prompt response of Cuban President Miguel Díaz to Bermúdez, to the request that he made by phone to send Cuban specialists to assist against the COVID-19 pandemic.

First group of Cuban Health specialists to North West Province in South South Africa to confront COVID-19

Pretoria, May 15, 2020.- Thirteen of the 217 specialists from the Cuban Medical Brigade that arrived in South Africa to assist in the efforts against COVID-19 on April 27, left today for the town of Klerksdorp in the South African province of North West. 

The specialists will be received tomorrow by the Minister of Health of that province, Madoda Sambatha, and will subsequently be deployed in areas where their assistance is most needed.
