The Scientific Adviser of the Council of State and Vice-President of the Cuban Academy of Sciences, Dr. Fidel Castro Díaz-Balart, successfully concluded his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, responding to an invitation from the Vice-President for Science and Technology of the Persian nation, Dr. Sorena Sattari.
Responding to an invitation from the Director of the Spanish Language Institute "Alborz", María Purificación García Collazo, Cuban Ambassador Vladimir González Quesada gave a lecture at this studies center, located in the north-central part of Tehran.
Based on his personal experience, first as a student and then as a diplomat in the North Africa and Middle East region, the Ambassador explained to the students and teachers present at the meeting the importance of having or forging a vocation to be able of properly practicing a particular profession.
The book "Who Killed Che?" from the authors Michael Ratner and Michael Steven Smith, published in 2011 in United States, saw the light in its Farsi edition, at Rasaneh Cultural Center in Tehran. This valuable work is the result of the efforts of Cuba’s friends, Mohammad Ghorbani and Ali Aboutalebí, who translated and edited the book.
This book makes available to Iranian readers a substantial analysis and declassified documents on the operation of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to assassinate Che Guevara in 1967 in Bolivia and get away with this heinous crime.
